Do
Bible Versions Matter?
It is
imperative that Christians understand that Bible Versions do matter. New
versions are not simply written to make it easier to understand God's Word
in "modern language." There is a total assault against Biblical truth and
doctrine taking place as demonstrated in the following Charts. Many
postulate that no doctrines have been changed, which is a false
presumption. The importance of having the true inspired words of God are
found in verses such as:
Ephesians
5:25-27 "...even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by
the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot,
or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without
blemish.
Unless a
version was translated from the
Received texts, it is suspect and indeed can and does lead to gnostic
doctrine. A Gnostic version will not allow a person to fully understand
what the will of the Lord is, because the doctrine itself is changed. For
that reason, the King James Version is the best
translation into the English language and had God's protection, as His
Word is how we come to know Him. The same holds true for God's Word when
the Received Texts is translated into other languages. (No, the Chinese
Union Version is not a translation of the Received Texts. The
Chinese Union Version is a translation of Westcott and Hort's Revised
Version and based on the Alexandrian text.)

Is doctrine important, or can it be continuously changed and still
be the Word of God?
Romans
10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the WORD OF GOD."
John
15:1-6 " I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every
branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more
fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in
him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do
nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is
withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are
burned."
I Corinthians 2:13
"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth; but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual."

foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for
the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet
glorified.)
|
But this
He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive;
for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. |
By this he
meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up

for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet

Now this he
said about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were to receive;
for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet

|
The words of the LORD are pure words...Thou shalt keep them,
O LORD. Thou shalt
preserve them from this generation for ever.
|
The words of the Lord are pure words...Thou, O Lord, wilt keep them; Thou
wilt preserve him from this generation forever.
|
And the words of the Lord are flawless...O Lord you will keep us safe and
protect us from such people forever.
|
The words of the Lord are pure words...You shall keep them, O Lord, you
shall preserve them from this generation forever.
|
The promises of the
Lord are promises that are pure...You, O Lord, will protect us; you will
guard us from this generation forever. |

Psalm 119:160
|
Thy word is true
from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. |
The sum of thy word is
truth and every one of your righteous ordinances is everlasting
|
All your words are
true; all your righteous laws are eternal |
The entirety of Your
word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
|
The sum of your word is
truth and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever.

Psalm 138:2 |
I will worship toward thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou
hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
|
I will bow down toward Thy holy temple,
And give thanks to Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and Thy truth; For Thou
hast magnified Thy word according to all Thy name. |
I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you
have exalted above all things your name and your word.
|
I will worship toward Your holy temple,
and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth: For You have
magnified Your word above all Your name. |
I bow down toward thy holy temple and
give thanks to thy name for thy steadfast love and thy faithfulness; for
thou hast exalted above everything thy name and thy word. |

Acts 17:18 |
Then certain philosophers of the
Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will
this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange
gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the
resurrection.

"He seems to be a
proclaimer of strange deities," —because he was preaching Jesus and the
resurrection.

II Peter 1:21
|
For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as
they were moved by the Holy Ghost. |
for no prophecy was ever made by an act
of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

For prophecy never had its origin in
the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the
Holy Spirit.

For prophecy never came by the will of
man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy
Spirit. |

John 9
|
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
he hath both the Father and the Son.

Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he
has both the Father and the Son.

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does
not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and
the Son.

II Thessalonians
2:9-10
|
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and
signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love
of the truth, that they might be saved.
|
[that is,] the
one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power
and signs and false wonders
and with all the deception of wickedness for those who
perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be
saved. |
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan
displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders
and in every sort of evil that
deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love
the truth and so be saved.
|
The coming of the
lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs,
and lying wonders,
and with all unrighteous deception among those who
perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they
might be saved. |
The coming of the
lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power,
signs, lying wonders,
and every kind of wicked deception for those who are
perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. |
